The brief

Make the everyday jobs easy

Winthrop Pharmacy is a local community pharmacy. They wanted a cleaner, more modern website that makes it quick for customers to book a pharmacy service or send in a script, especially on a phone.

They didn’t need an online store. They needed their hours, services and contact details easy to find, and a site that feels as welcoming as walking into the shop.

Before and after

Same pharmacy, a fresh new look

The old site had the basics: a phone number, opening hours and a Book Online link. The new one keeps all of that, adds a refreshed logo, and puts the two things customers do most, booking a service and sending a script, right at the top.

Before

The old Winthrop Pharmacy website on a desktop screen: a bright green header with phone, email and opening hours, and the pharmacy name over a photo of the store

Before: the old site, early 2025

After

The new Winthrop Pharmacy website on a desktop screen: new logo, a blue hero with the shopfront photo, and buttons to book a vaccination or send a script

After: the new site, live now

What we did

From first tap to pickup

A refreshed logo

A cleaner logo built around a green pharmacy cross, with versions for the header, the browser tab and social media.

Mobile-first layout

Designed for phones first, with the call and book buttons always close at hand.

Online bookings

Each pharmacy service gets its own “Book now” button, linked to the booking system the pharmacy already uses. Home Medicines Reviews start with an easy GP referral upload.

Send your script

A simple form to paste an eScript link or upload a photo of a paper script, ready to collect in store.

Hours up front

Opening hours, location and contact details are easy to find, plus a notice board for holiday hours.

Proud stockists

A compact strip showing the brands customers come in for, without turning the site into an online store.

Up close

The features customers use most

Bookings section of the Winthrop Pharmacy redesign: four service cards, each with its own "Book now" button

Online bookings

Book a service in a couple of taps

Customers pick a service, such as a vaccination or a contraceptive consult, and go straight to the pharmacy’s existing booking page. For a Home Medicines Review, they send in their GP referral instead. No new software for the team to learn.

Send your script

Scripts sent ahead, ready to collect

A short form takes an eScript link or a photo of a paper script, so the team can have it ready. Three clear steps explain what happens next.

Home Medicines Reviews

HMR referrals, without the paperwork chase

A Home Medicines Review is a pharmacist visit to look over someone’s medicines at home. Customers choose HMR in the same form, upload a photo or PDF of their GP’s referral, and the pharmacist calls to arrange a time for the visit.
